The Book of Ebenezer Le Page

The Methodist Church, Northampton Road, Market Harborough, LE16 9HE
David Le Page launches his new album featuring his own works for violin and piano inspired by G.B. Edwards’ fictionalised autobiography of an archetypal Guernseyman, Ebenezer Le Page. William Golding said of the book: “To read it is not like reading but living”. David, who was born on the island of Guernsey, performs with pianist Viv Mclean. “Otherworldly” (Le Monde). The music will be interspersed with readings from the novel.

“The finesse and fieriness of his playing is always top-notch, but more than that, his unique sense of creativity infuses everything he does. His own music has a string personal voice, full of improvisatory flair and independence of thought, and... seems driven by a deeply poetic spirit.”
Jessica Duchen - Music journalist - The Independent
