Harborough Concerts
Welcome to the website of Harborough Concerts. St Dionysius Church, in the heart of Market Harborough, is the beautiful setting for performances of the highest quality given by some of the finest professional musicians in the UK. The church, which dates from the 14th century, has an ideal acoustic for the intimate chamber music which forms the backbone of each Harborough Concerts season.
Encompassing a wide variety of repertoire from Baroque and Classical through to Romantic and Contemporary, each Harborough Concerts season offers a varied and fascinating programme of music to suit many tastes.
The Harborough Collective, Market Harborough’s own professional ensemble (formed in 2010 by violinist David Le Page) gives many of the concerts in the series and is pleased to welcome guest appearances by visiting artists. This versatile ensemble performs music featuring strings, woodwind, brass and percussion in combinations ranging from duos up to small chamber orchestra size.
The series is rapidly gaining a wider national reputation for thrilling performances of the highest calibre and is also establishing Market Harborough as an indispensable platform for Classical music in Leicestershire. All concerts take place at 3pm on Sunday and last approximately one hour. Come and experience world class performers playing sublime music in inspirational surroundings.
